Terms of Service
The service and your account
These draft terms are for BuildQuote’s business estimating, quoting, job-management and design software. The operator is To be confirmed before launch; contact your BuildQuote contact or in-app Help. They do not replace a building contract between a trade business and its customer.
Only create or administer a business account if you have authority. Keep credentials confidential, use individual staff logins, and remove access when it is no longer needed. You are responsible for the records you enter and the permissions you assign.
Estimates, design and AI
Check all output before issuing it or carrying out work. Estimates depend on your measurements, scope, price books, rates, exclusions and tax settings. AI can make mistakes or omit work. Supplier search results do not guarantee stock, current prices or suitability.
Plans, renders and compliance prompts are working aids. They are not structural calculations, an architect’s certification, planning permission or building-control approval. Confirm site conditions and obtain competent professional advice and statutory approvals where needed. A photorealistic render is illustrative and may differ from the measured design.
Your content and privacy
You retain your rights in uploaded content. You give the operator permission to host, process and display it as needed to provide the service and requested integrations. Upload only material you are entitled to use and personal data you have a lawful reason to process. Do not use the service for unlawful surveillance, infringing material or attempts to access another business’s data.
Read the privacy policy. Business data processing requires the agreed processor terms. Protect shared document links and avoid sending unnecessary personal or confidential information to AI services.
Charges and cancellation
The current application records subscription details manually; it does not implement an automated BuildQuote subscription checkout. A subscription record is not proof of a payment, and does not itself authorise a charge.
Any paid offer must identify the total price, VAT treatment, billing frequency, included users and AI allowances, limits, extra charges, renewal and cancellation terms before you agree. No proposed paid terms take effect merely because this draft exists. See cancellation and refunds. Payments to a trade business for building work are separate from BuildQuote fees.
Availability, changes and ending access
Connections, AI and network services may be unavailable or change. No uninterrupted-availability or accuracy guarantee is made. Keep copies of important issued documents. Report faults through Help or your BuildQuote contact or in-app Help.
Access may be restricted where necessary to protect accounts or address misuse, with an explanation where lawful and practicable. Ending an account requires a process for authorised export, retention and deletion; ask for that process before closing your account. Material changes to final terms must be brought to customers’ attention, with any legally required choice.
Responsibility and disputes
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or overrides mandatory consumer rights. Commercial liability limits, service commitments and termination rights remain subject to legal review and agreement before paid launch.
The proposed governing law is England and Wales, subject to mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules. Contact your BuildQuote contact or in-app Help first so we can investigate a dispute. The final contracting terms must be confirmed before payment is accepted.
